Have you experienced problems with galvanized/painted piping? I saw on the 
Alvinius website that the installed cost is "30% less than a stainless steel 
system"...that still sounds pretty expensive. It also seems like it might be 
difficult to stock materials if the product must be factory fabricated in 
Sweden. How long would a system be out of service if it was accidentally 
damaged? 

What is the availability of metric/imperial adapters? Would the whole system be 
metric?

Hello Sprinklerforum,

  Has anybody had any experience with the Plastic Coated pipe made by Alvenius 
(www.alvenius.com) ? I have an AHJ in this area looking at using it for systems 
in "Exposed Areas" such as Parking garages and open balconies facing the ocean. 
Looks like it is only made in metric sizes and would have to be factory fabbed.
