Forest- They're UL AND FM and I know they're accurate, I was in Scituate when FM were testing them. I do 10-20 fire pumps a month, use nothing but them (except in the winter). I know pumps, I know these are flowing what they claim. Keep in mind, you can have the best gear and still screw up a test if you don't know what you doing. We're miles ahead over the old playpipes and hand held pitots. Really. TD
On a similar note, when I went through the Fire Pump technician course at Peerless Pump, there was some doubt expressed about the accuracy of Hose Monster assemblies. Both are UL listed for their purpose. Of course, we know that sometimes UL listing doesn't amount to much in the reliability department, ie ion smoke detectors and o ring SPRINKLERS.
