Like Lamar stated, I usually space in the pockets, under any ducts over 4' wide and at the ceiling for blocked/open area's, looks like alot of heads on paper but once you walk into the room it's clear ie; 1 spkr at 1' of wall at clg, next 3' away at 36" down under ducts, next 4' away at 18" down under another duct, kinda like that, but I hope I didn't confuse you, think fllor coverage and spray blockage.
