Architect calls with a small addition to an existing 3500 SF, R4 assisted living building. He says all we have to protect is the new addition and some connecting rooms by the fire official. R4 only requires a 13D systems per IBC with only 8 patients. I want at least a 13R system and 100% coverage of the area below the ceiling including existing areas for life safety.
