HB377 to repeal PA's sprinkler mandate just moved from L&I Committee to the 
House for consideration.

A motion made by Rep Keller to table the bill failed 16-8.
An amendment to require homeowners to be given information regarding installing 
sprinklers prior to building a home was adopted unanimously.
An amendment to allow homebuilders who secured a permit to build before the 
repeal of the sprinklers to opt out of installation was also adopted.
An amendment that would allow municipalities to opt out of the sprinkler 
mandate was defeated.
An amendment that would authorize the Department of Labor & Industry to collect 
data regarding cost of installation of sprinklers was also defeated.
An amendment that would authorize a study be conducted was defeated.
The bill will be on second consideration and will likely be voted on Wednesday.
