chk with your TFP local guy for more, I've seen some brand-specific write-ups
but I don't know how close you alignment is.

If you haven't read James' white paper on Variables that affect the performance
of a dry pipe system, you should in order to really understand how increasing
air pressure in a dry sysem gievs better results, while others are offering low
pressure valves that trip faster, but at extended transit times since there's
less air stopping water from being diverted from the ITC/flowing heads..while
you're looking at the index, take some time and educate yourself. If you have,
understand a lot on the Forum prolly haven't. What I learned from Design
Alternatives for Large Drops got me a $1.7m job, so don't necessarily think
you're wasting your time.

You may want to look at the Office depot and other special application
sprinkler criteria that TYCO developed along with major retail outlets. I
believe that Bed bath and beyond and others were provided with testing to
support specific ceiling only sprinkler protection.
These are now most likely listed as CMSA sprinklers, but I think the white
papers are still available on the TYCO web page.

Greg,

Section 16 (Rack storage) will send you back to Misc Storage. That was the
confusing part. This is a mercantile occupancy with a small area of storage in
receiving not exceeding 12'-0 in height. They have gondola shelves on the sales
floor (most of it) - not exceeding 12'-0 in height & the highest point of Top
of Steel is 19'-0. Their specs are building it towards Misc Storage including
types of sprinklers and referenced Table (12.1.10.1.1 in 2002) So with that
said - which way to go?

Bobby, I am on the road so I didn't look this up but last week I was looking up
some criteria for storage and was referred back to the criteria for misc.
Storage.

So maybe that's what is happening?
