When we pass through a block wall, non-rated (smoke, fire etc.) we plan on providing clearance or a flex coupling within a foot of the wall on both sides of the wall. Does it say anywhere we have to use sleeves for block walls? We will be using Sch. 10 & 40 pipe as well as CPVC. I can't seem to find anything other than NFPA 13 - 2007 9.3.4.3 "Where clearance is provided by a pipe sleeve.." But nothing requiring one. Thank you in advance.
