NFPA 13 requires the entire building to be sprinklered, it does not exclude pools from coverage.

Can you please provide feedback so I can provide him with the best response? "We have a job that includes an inclosed, indoor chlorine swimming pool. The space is about 12000 sq ft of a 50,000 sq ft total building. The architect and fire marshal are recommending we omit the sprinklers in the pool area but we are leery of that. What has your experience been with exposed sprinklers in such an environment? I cannot use plastic piping since there is no ceiling. Any suggestions? " Thank you, Bobby Gillett Sr. Project Manager Key Fire Protection, Inc.
