Don't know if this is useful, but the city of Philadelphia (PA) required formal
permits for sprinkler T&I's up until about 10 years ago. We had to send runners
to city hall to get blocks of 50 permits to be used as needed ( and paid for).
The state of DE collects a $25.00 Fee for every fire protection system
inspected, sprinkler, fire alarm, kitchen, special hazard. Sort of a permit
issued post inspection.

Subject: Monday AM NFPA-25 Follow-up

Greeting to All:

Is there anyone out there that knows of any (Fire/Public Safety)
jurisdiction that requires applying for a "permit" to perform inspections or
testing
(Main Drain, ITV, 'Trip'-test), or quarterly/annual NFPA-25 ITM on Fire
Sprinkler Systems - anywhere in the U.S. ? I would appreciate any info. that
anyone might have with regard to this request.

Gracias!

Jerry
