I have looked online and did not see any hanger capable of doing that
(hence my original question if someone knew of one) and the architect will
not get what he wants..  :-)

I was originally sent a detail from the architect that used a metal strap
to hold the "sprinkler pipe" or electrical conduit in place. I knew that
would never work!
