I have a situation where the GC wants to change the new sheet rock
ceiling system to a walk-able hard ceiling. We're talking about a room
17 ft x 29 ft, with one 24"x24" access panel. This would create a room
above a room...
The purpose of this is to allow for future maintenance of filters and
mechanical equipment.

Would this be considered a concealed space and fall under section (NFPA
13 2007 ed.) 8.15.1.2.2 and not have to be protected or is it considered
a separate room and will require sprinkler heads?

Thanks in advance...
