Proof again that money talks and bullshit becomes fact with the right amount of
influence behind it. The folks at the HBA should take a long hard look at the
repercussions of their actions, to them it's only about the money... not that
they would lose any... they simply wouldn't gain enough from it. Re-building
burned out homes is a multi-billion dollar enterprise in this country... why
should the HBA cut-off that cash cow just because a few people died? In the
meantime, people continue to die in the shoddy matchboxes with the pretty
facades that they churn out, all the while lamenting that they aren't making
any money... excuse me, I think I choked for a moment... The framers, plumbers,
electricians and the rest of the trades folks continue to get squeezed for
pennies by the builders, forcing them to use cheaper and cheaper products,
forcing manufacturers to produce cheap inferior products or, worse yet, buy
their goods from China... all so the folks at the HBA can sit ba
ck fat and happy. The one thing the government gets right and it goes to hell
in a hand basket because of these bozo's. Lead free brass... now THAT makes
sense...
