Owen Get involved in providing training opportunities for the inspector and the department. Arguing with them generally does not work. Also, when they are requiring unsubstantiated requirements, make sure your GC/Developer/Owner is in the loop. They are the ones that are usually connected with City Managers or Commissioners. Why did he want them removed and not a part of the hydro since they would be subject to the same stresses the hydro demonstrates the whole system can withstand. I had one once all the one shot heat detectors tested with heat because just shorting the contacts wouldn't prove the heat detectors themselves worked. Took a lot of 'splainin' but he did finally get the concept.
