Hydracad is great and flexible and Hydratec has been around since at least the 
early 1980's.

I must say I was surprised by the response.  Have most of the respondents also 
used hydracad?  I've only been using it a year, but elevating the piping to 3d 
is relatively simple and it seems to be much easier to draw in 2d(at least for 
my simple mind).  When you click the elevate button, if any of the background 
is in 3d it also elevates.  Although I've never used autosprink, so I have 
nothing to compare it too.
