Hi Nicky Nine out if ten you will find the Resin in the FRPs being epoxy vinyl ester, and yes it is a hydrocarbon and burns well! This is the material in most cooling towers and some car bonnets etc, when dry they readily burn with thick black smoke.
To be sure to be sure you can ask for the resin.
