I posted the question about standpipes and 13R today. I have had
multiple responses and phone calls from members on this site to help the
local AHJ see our point of view - which happens to align with NFPA and
IBC. Simple things like this more than pay for a single year of dues to
the AFSA. If you are an independent designer, there is no reason to not
toss the few dollars to AFSA for the design membership. Through forums
like this and professional relationships, the dues are usually paid for
within a couple days on time saving tips and assistance provided.
