The 2012  NC Fire code reference 2007 edition.  You can go newer, but you have 
to use the code in its entirety.

Based on what is in the Referenced Standards section of the current adopted 
code, NFPA 13, 2002 is the referenced standard.

Anyone have any info on whether using a more current version is acceptable or
