I have a question regarding a leaking water issue on an electric, in-line
fire pump. Had a situation where the fire pump (approximately 20 yrs old,
500 GPM, 25HP motor) was leaking around the seals (I assume) and spraying
enough water when used to saturate the sheet rock wall adjacent to it. I
need to make a recommendation but do not know enough about how this type of
situation is handled.

Looking to find out what this would involve:
1. Would you typically look to repair the leak or just replace the pump
casing
2. Is this a field repair or something that would need to be brought to
the shop
3. If you repair, is this something that takes a hour or is it typically
an all day affair

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can send my way.

Have a Happy New Year
