Might be worth at least a spot check. The end of dead end branch lines can hold
compressed air (equal to the water pressure) and could create the same
situation. Probably not as severe as a dry system, but the potential is there. There is also the potential for other obstruction issues beyond rust (MIC, etc)
that could be an issue.
NFPA 25 (2008) for obstruction investigations does not differentiate between wet
and dry systems.
