I bet on a "hydromotor": only 1 letter miss spelled.
A hydromotor is a water motor that drives the gong bell.
If the gong bell rings and no sprinklers are activated, the sprinkler system is inadequate. If sprinklers are open and the hydromotor doesnot run, the sprinkler system is inadequate.
