What is the cost of a dry pendent installed? $100, $300??? How many man hours is going to be spent by the contractor trying to fight against it? Sometimes when you win, you still lose.

That may be Travis, but it's more economical to tell the ahj where to put it in this case.

Thats why i put the "?" after overhang.
    How is it physically different?
We don't often sprinkler exterior floor areas.

Not an overhang. The entry way juts into the warehouse so
that the roof of the building is still overhead fully

its cold in the winter here I would need to install a dry
pendant to protect the space below the entry ceiling. Just
trying to avoid this if possible. Sent from my iPhone

Sounds like an exterior floor space with no fuel load to

gonna scratch my head on 8.15.7.4 a while, but I don't
think that's your get out of Sprink free card here.

I have a warehouse that is 30ft tall with inset
            entryways with non-combustible walls/doors on 3 sides
and open on the 4 to the outside. The entryway is about
10ft tall with a noncombustible ceiling. Would
8.15.7.4 (or any other rule) allow me to omit sprinkler
protection for this? No combustibles will be stored below.

            Thanks,
