I have a couple of semi-green customers trying to up the ante of their office complexes in the shadows of MIT and Harvard. We’ve talked about flowmeter retrofits for their fire pumps and maybe installing these on their FCV’s not only to hasten water waste but to also slow down the MIC issues beginning to occur in several key areas. They pay for water used during pump tests as estimated by the water purveyor witnessing the tests but not quarterly-annual testing.

I’m wondering what the amortization schedule might be; metrics of time and costs saved over time seem like they might be hard to track or predict. Steve L.
