Are there any provisions for partially sprinklered buildings anymore? I am
looking at a parking garage that meets the requirements for not needing
sprinklers. (over 50% open and over 20’ away from the building). However
the 1st floor contains a munch of mechanical rooms for the main tower, as
well as nearly 1/3 of the floor space being designated as “unit owner
storage area”.

I believe there is no way to avoid putting sprinklers in this building. But
I want to be certain before I tell my client this.

Anyone?
