Chapter 30 of the IFC deals with ovens/furnaces. First determine the Class of the oven based on its use.
If your process falls into the definition of use for a Class A or Class B oven per Section 3006, internal fire protection is needed. Powder Coating curing ovens are often considered Class B ovens.
