I doubt the hazard has changed, so you would need to have the same design 
criteria.  Therefore, the ESFR protection is needed under.  Now, if you can use 
a K17 instead of a K25, that may be up for debate.  But, I don't think you can 
change from ESFR sprinkler in that scenario.

Is there a reason i can not use K 8 sprinklers to cover under a 48" duct In
