Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) or mass timber for high rise continues to successfully move through the ICC code adoption process.
Here is a report that is being used to support effort. Of note to a passel of sprinkler practitioners is Test #5. Test fires #1-4 were non-sprinklered. Test #6 was with sprinkler protection. Test #5 provided sprinklers, with water supply shut off. In 20 minutes valve turned on. Goal was to simulate system o/s, fire department gets on scene, figures out not water flow, and pumps FDC.
