preparing for an inspection, i have 4 risers. 2 of them are 6” pipes and the flow switches work perfectly. 2 of them are 8” pipes and not working as smoothly. first test, it will take 25 seconds for the flow switch to activate. 2nd and 3rd test, less than 5 seconds and they activate. after waiting an hour, the first test will go back to 25 seconds to activate. immediately after this first test, goes back to 5 seconds. any thoughts on why this is happening? need to get this corrected so we can set these accordingly to pass an inspection. i know after they activate, we have settings for how long until it will set off the alarm. that’s not the issue. the issue is the time frame for the switch to move when we open up the inspector test.
any insight would be appreciated.
