Am I allowed to put a dry riser in a stairwell? I'm pretty sure I did this a very long time ago, but then the next time the possibility came up we decided that wasn't allowed. I think we found something in the IBC about how pipe that goes into or out of a stairwell has to serve the stairwell or something like that. But then, we put floor control assemblies in stairwells, and they're system risers just like dry risers are.
