What Merle said, but please take note that the first benchmark on his list closed earlier this year (Public Inputs). I’m on the TC and we staggered to the First Draft finish line in April, so the draft is posted and we’re in the Public Comments stage.
I would explain to the FM that 1), the standard is nowhere near “ready” and, 2) that it covers a lot more than just sprinkler design. Any effort to enforce the draft will open a Pandora’s Box of secondary and tertiary effects because there are safety concerns and prescriptive standards of care for other systems, such as exhausting CO2 and dust. Some facilities are just grows, and some have curing and processing attached and associated with the growing areas. Some grows are big open warehouses and some are prefabricated rooms that are like a walk-in cooler. You may fixed racking or tables or rolling You have flammable liquids concerns and depending on the extraction method, potential H occupancies that would require fire-rated separation. Down the road, this is going to be a detailed and lucid standard, and the draft is pretty good but not publication-ready.
