Depending on start method, engines can stop themselves both on low oil and high temperature.  But, these actions will generate an alarm condition to the controller and hopefully alarm system.


I’m confused. NFPA 20 prohibits shutdown of a fire pump diesel driver in a fire condition except for an over speed condition.
