Hey SPUGgers,

I really like my job. The work is interesting and challenging, uses
fun tech (Node.js, FreeSWITCH, Redis). And my team is FREAKING
AWESOME.

I tell you this, because we have two openings. If you are interested,
or know some software engineers who may be interested, let me know!

Granted, this is not Perl. But JavaScript is a dynamic language, that
feels perhaps closer to Perl than Ruby or Python. And Node.js is a
very nice asynchronous framework. You may have heard something about
it on the internet.

Required Skills

 . 5+ years overall developer experience
 . Deep exposure to multiple languages (e.g. Node.js, Scala, Perl,
   Java, C/C++, others)
 . Significant experience in scaling open source technologies
 . Excellent Linux skills (sysstat, strace, tcpdump, gdb, etc.)
 . Experience with No-SQL solutions like Redis, MongoDB, Hadoop, etc.
 . Demonstrated ability to learn and develop production-ready code in
   a new language very rapidly.
 . Deep experience and passion for agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
 . Demonstrated ability to work closely with Product/Program managers
   and make solid contributions

Nice-To-Have Skills

 . Experience with VOIP protocols (SIP, RTP) and technology
   (FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, SBC, Hammer XMS)
 . Experience with asynchronous / event-driven programming
 . Chef, Puppet
 . Demonstrated proficiency with Internet memes and lolz
