Nope, my machine is Ubuntu 9.04 with using Python 2.6.2.  And the 
error(s) I receive when attempting to install Python(x,y) is:
"python-qwt4:  Depends: python (<2.6)"
I'm not too concerned with it at the moment however.  I won't be using 
python too much until after the Holiday.  :)
