To the committers and contributors, Since Spyder v2.1.0 release, a couple of bugs came to our attention. Version 2.1.1 was released a few days later but this was not done only to fix those bugs but rather to address some issues related to the Debian package, thus avoiding to block its release process (it's very important because of the forthcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS release).
By the way, I must say that I'm positively surprised by the v2.1 release because of these two figures: * >1400 downloads in a week, only on GoogleCode (this figure does not include the downloads through Python(x,y) and all other packages on Linux distributions: Debian, ArchLinux, ...) * only 6 bugs were reported (2 were fixed, 1 is a known bug) However, yesterday, a *critical* bug was identified and fixed: within the project explorer, when starting with an empty workspace, it was impossible to create or import projects. Because of the priority of this bugfix, I intend to release v2.1.2 shortly. Carlos, I know that you are working on one of the bugs mentioned above, would you prefer that I wait a little bit before releasing v2.1.2?
