I can't reproduce it now so I think it's safe to ignore unless I can come up with a reproducible example in future. I'm happy with IPython 0.13 being the required version for the next Spyder release. I think trying to support old IPython versions would place too high a burden on the developers, but I would say that running off git as I do! I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the latest Spyder requires the latest released IPython though.
