Ok, thanks for taking the time to explain us your use case. I thought
you were using an Enthought library (like Chaco). I saw you filled an
issue for this, so thanks for that too.

installer. There is no easy way you can install them by yourself.

I'm a math reasearcher and I'm doing a lot of computations.
There are a few things that I really don't like in matplotlib (though
I admit it is an amazing library) :
1- It lacks a lot of interactivity
2- It does not support to display very long signals (which I deal with
every day).
So I wrote a C++ wxWidget based graphic library that I interfaced with
python and that I am using instead of matplotlib....
that's the whole story !
