I have open issue 1281<http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/issues/detail?id=1281> because I got hosed trying to debug and test some of my code that contains assert statements (they are ignored when run in the spyder interpreteres). Is this expected? If so, any way to deal with this or should I just run my code in an outside interpreter for this purpose?
