Hi Jim,
I cannot reproduce your problem on Linux using neither Python 2 nor
Python 3, so this has to be a Windows problem or an issue with
WinPython. Please open an issue in our Issues tracker so we don't forget
to take a closer look at it.
Cheers,
Carlos

Is there something known that breaks highlighting of matching parens
in the development versions? I've found for 2.3.0dev5 and dev6 there
is no highlighting in the editor, even though it works in the console.
For example, type the following into editor: x,y = ({'a':1},
[1,2,3]). In earlier versions, when the cursor is on one parenthesis,
the matching paren will be highlighted in green. Unmatched parens are
highlighted red. Instead, no highlighting occurs at all
I see the problem with 2.3.0dev6 from WinPython 3.3.2.3, and with
2.3.0dev5, from WinPython 3.3.2.2. Correct behavior seen with Spyder
2.2.0 from WinPython 2.7.5.0.
Could not find it in the issue list, but perhaps it's part of a bigger
issue? If this is not known, I can add to the issue list...
thanks,
Jim
