Hi Steve,

Thanks for reporting this bug. I don't know how it could be introduced by our efforts to make Spyder compatible with IPython 0.13 and 1.0 but I'll fix for 2.2.5.

Thanks,
Carlos

I just pip installed 2.2.4 and it appears to have the same issue. I created this issue: http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/issues/detail?id=1552

I also downgraded to 2.2.3 and verified it is working properly.

I've been running against the beta version and debugging has
stopped working properly. More specifically, the debugger is not
loading my configured break points when I start it. The break
point widget lists my break points correctly, but when I press 'b'
at the pdb prompt after I've started the debugger no break points
    are listed.

I went back and found that commit 6ac45a00a1df seems to break the
functionality. Unfortunately I wasn't easily able to bisect the
issue with the config file changes and the starting commit.

I'm not creating an issue (yet) since this is in the beta and not
    an official version.

Side note: Any particular reason why the config file stuff was
changed and an updater wasn't added for transition? How are users
supposed to migrate from spyder 2.2 to 2.3+ without losing their
    config settings?

    Thanks,

    Steve
