Hi, I installed "anaconda" python distribution on my work laptop. The ipython QtConsole works fine.
This distro came with Spyder, but when I open Spyder the regular python console loads fine, but the ipython does not load. It gives the following message, but does not proceed to show an ipython prompt. [IPKernelApp] To connect another client to this kernel, use: [IPKernelApp] --existing kernel-9944.json (screenshot attached) Please let me know how to fix this issue. I browsed through this group messages and some people mentioned, for a slightly different issue, that the firewall could be blocking the zmq (which facilitates interprocess communication).
