Hi,

I'm sorry but the work I showcased at SciPy is outdated now. I plan to update it (and let you know how to test it) after we release 2.3.

Cheers,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

I just downloaded the latest Ipython 2.0 dev.
It seems to work great.

Is there a way now to enable the notebook inside Spyder ? a simple experimental patch to apply manually to Spyder ?

    Hi Carlos,

Is the "Ipython Notebook" option activable in current Spyder beta
    2.3 ?

        Hi all,

On the behalf of Spyder's development team, I'm pleased to
        announce the
second beta of our next major version: Spyder 2.3.

We've been working on this version for eight months now and as
        far as we
know is very stable. There are still some minor bugs to squash
        but we
encourage all people who like the bleeding edge to give it a try.

The most important improvement of this release is that it now
        supports
Python 3.2/3.3 besides (of course) Python 2.6/2.7. This beta
        also comes
with a new theme for our Object Inspector, some important
        fixes to save
and execute files in encodings other than unicode, a new
        tooltip widget
to better show signatures of functions and methods, and some
        improvements to our startup time.

This release comes two months after the last beta1 release. It
        was also
in the middle of moving our repository from GoogleCode to
        Bitbucket,
which has been quite fruitful so far.

        See the incomplete changelog here:

And don't forget to follow Spyder updates/news on the project
        website
        (http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/
<http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/>) and on our official blog
        (http://spyder-ide.blogspot.com/
<http://spyder-ide.blogspot.com/>). In the next couple of
        weeks I'll be
writing a series of blogs describing in more detail our new
        changes

        Enjoy!
        Carlos
