There really isn’t, sorry, but the process is quite simple to explain. We extract that information either by directly inspecting the object (using the |inspect| module) or by parsing the docstring to find a possible signature that we can show in that section.

The object inspector seems to do some formatting based on an object's definition beyond what is in the docstring. For example if I view numpy.add() in the object inspector it shows add in a blue title bar, Definition: & Type: Function which aren't part of the docstring.
Is there some documentation explaining what happens?
