Hi,

I dought being the first one having this issue, but I haven't been able to
find relevant documentation for my problem. I run Spyder on my mac os x
10.6.8, installed using the dmg file. In parallel I have installed external
packages using pip, and homebrew directly form the terminal. Neither of the
packages are available within the python version of spyderlib. When using
the tool PythonPath in spyder's preference, I cannot reach the folder
/usr/local/... where my homebrew packages are installed.

1) is there a way of setting spyder using the default python version of my
machine, the one accessed by default from the terminal?
2) otherwise, how can I add the path of my external packages included in
the folder /usr/local/... to the spyderlib python?

Thanks
Simon
