I'm really glad you like it! (you asked for it after all, I just forgot
to mention it in the release notes ;-)
Once IPython makes it easy to start kernels for other languages (see
IPEP 25) we could support Julia as a first class language (almost on the
same level as Python).
Cheers,
Carlos

Hello,
I am very happy about the new support for the Julia programming language.
Python, Numba and C++ is the past (all of this I edit with Spyder),
Julia is the
future.
I can edit Julia files with Spyder and run them from within ipython.
This is
very nice.
Best regards:

Hi all,
On the behalf of Spyder's development team, I'm pleased to
announce the
fourth beta of our next major version: Spyder 2.3.
We've been working on this version for almost a year now and as
far as
we know is very stable. There are still some minor bugs to squash
but we
encourage all people who like the bleeding edge to give it a try.
The most important improvement of this release is that it supports
Python 3.2/3.3/3.4 besides (of course) Python 2.6/2.7. This beta also
comes with first-class support for Enaml files and new defaults for
several configuration options, like starting an IPython console at
startup, and not using pylab mode for it and also our scientific
startup
script because they confuse newbies a lot. These options are still
available but now they have to be activated by users (instead of
by us).
This release comes almost three months month after beta3 and we
feel we
are quite close to the final one. To download it please go to our
Bitbucket Downloads page (because GoogleCode doesn't let to create
new
downloads):

See the incomplete changelog here:
http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/wiki/ChangeLogBeta

And don't forget to follow Spyder updates/news on the project website
(http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/
<http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/>) and on our official blog
(http://spyder-ide.blogspot.com/ <http://spyder-ide.blogspot.com/>).
Enjoy!
