Thanks a lot Benoit for your kind words. I'll try to create a Python 3
ready dmg for 2.3.1 (to be released at the end of the month).
Cheers,
Carlos

To support Python 3.4 I need to create a new installer with its
own internal version. But for the moment I don't have the
resources nor the time to do it (because it's a long and arduous
process :-)
However, I hope to do it during the next months, so stay tuned!
Just like Chiara, I expected the Spyder 2.3 release in order to be
able to have it installed easily by the few students of mine working
on Mac OS X and was a bit disappointed when I realized that the dmg
installer used Python 2.7 but not Pyhon 3. I use the MacPorts version
of Python directly via the Terminal at home, but wouldn't recommend it
for beginners (Spyder can be installed via MacPorts, but launches from
the Terminal if I remember correctly). So a Python 3 dmg installer
shall be very welcome :-)
Thanks for your efforts, your work is really appreciated by my
students, my colleagues and myself,
Benoît
