Adrian, The way it is with everything updated... there's no way to bring a the plot window to the front... i.e., it opens _behind_ the spyder window and the only option is to move the spyder window manually and click on the plot window to bring it forward. You can't cmd-tab or cmd-~ to bring the window to the foreground.
when anaconda was using the 2.3rc release, everything worked "normally" - that is, when you call plt.plot(a)... the window would open in front of spyder. The way it is now, every time you make a plot, you have to manually drag the spyder window to the side to uncover the plot window.
