Sorry, I will make myself more clear.

Yes there is a code editor in spyder and is a core part of it.

If we want ton include pyqode I see options:
1) We include it as part of spyder (copy all files of pyqode in spyder and 
adapt it to connect with the rest of spyder internals)
2) Leave pyqode as a separate project but extend it (with a mode or 
something hosted in pyqode project) and use it as a plugin in Spyder, in 
which case we need to reconsider how we want plugins to work in spyder.
