You can execute files on remote kernels, but you can't interrupt nor
kill those kernels from within Spyder. That's a limitation of
IPython/Jupyter kernels, so there's nothing we can do about it.
Besides, at the moment you *can't* edit files in remote servers. Sylvain
Corlay (one of our core developers) mentioned that he had developed a
remote file explorer some time ago, but I think he's been too busy to
submit it.
