Hopefully somebody can answer a question I have been looking for an answer to for a number of days. I want to suggest using Python and Spyder to my employer, but am concerned about using them for sensitive data. My knowledge on this sort of stuff is non-existent, but if I'm using pandas/matplotlib/numpy/bokeh to work with data, is everything local to the machine it is installed on? I don't want there to be any possibility of data being sent externally. Does this include the iPython console also?
What particularly concerns me is when, for example, the output produces a HTML file which then opens in a browser. If I'm suggesting this for use within the organisation, I want to make sure that I'm staying within company policy.
