Hi,
You have to start Spyder from the command line (cmd.exe). Pip
installation doesn't create menu nor desktop shortcuts.
Cheers,

Hi in windows 10, 64bit: I first installed python 3.6.0 (without e.g.
Anaconda). I used "pip install spyder" via cmd.exe i.e. the "hard
way". Everything worked and with subsequent checks cmd says
"requirement already satisfied". But spyder is not on the start menu
and cmd > type "spyder" says "Windows cannot find spyder". I
previously had Anaconda but uninstalled it. How can I get spyder to
work / show? Python is indeed working with an alternative editor. Thanks
