to announce that Spyder *4.0.1* has been released and is available for
Windows, GNU/Linux and MacOS X:

This release comes almost one month after version 4.0.0 and it doesn’t
add new features. However, it has important performance improvements and
also fixes several regressions over Spyder 3 detected after releasing
version 4.
In this release we fixed 32 issues and merged 43 pull requests that
amount to more than 170 commits. For a full list of fixes, please see
